The beautiful grounds of Prinknash Abbey once again provide the location of our Friends’ summer lunch at Chorley’s auction rooms. Before lunch, enjoy a chilled welcome drink while Simon Chorley and his team test your wits with a lively session to discover the fakes and genuine items in a selection of interesting objects. You will be able to get involved, in teams, in handling items and deciding whether something is genuine, what it is, how much it is worth etc. There will also be a chance to view the `country house` items in the forthcoming auction.
Chorley’s also offer a free valuation service. You are welcome to bring in an item from home and discover more about a treasured possession. If anything is too large or too delicate to bring, why not at least bring a photo of it to show them?
A buffet lunch with wine will be followed by coffee or tea. You can make your own way there (plenty of parking space) or via our coach service (see below).
Chorley’s is one of the most prestigious auction companies in Gloucestershire and is a major supporter of the Friends’ Newsletter. We really do hope you can join us for our Summer Event.
COST PER PERSON: £15.50 without coach, £22.00 with coach.
VENUE: Chorley’s Auction Rooms, Prinknash Abbey Park, Gloucester GL4 8EU.
12:00: Arrival and welcome drink. 12.30: Fake or Forgery? with Simon Chorley and his team. 13:15-14:15: Lunch. 13:30-14:30 Friends own items valued by Chorley’s. 14:30 Depart.
PICK UP POINTS: The Racecourse Park and Ride 11:15. Royal Well 11:30. Sixways 11:45. Our coach will return at approximately 15:15.

There are three payment options:
1. You can pay by credit or debit card, as well as by PayPal, using the PayPal option (default). If there are sufficient spaces still available this will automatically confirm your booking if the payment is accepted.
2. If you want to pay by cheque select the Off-line option from the payment methods but please send your cheque as soon as possible as your booking will not be confirmed until we have received the payment.
3. If you really don’t like filling in forms on-screen you can download a form, print it and post it with a cheque. A booking form can also be found in the Friends Newsletter (available May 2019).
Cheques should be payable to Friends of The Wilson and sent with a SAE or clearly written email address to Martha Alleguen, 7 Sydenham Road South, Cheltenham GL52 6EF.
