Kenneth Clark described portraiture as the artist’s ‘use of the accidents of each individual face to reveal inner life’. This Zoom talk and discussion led by the Chair of the Friends, Adrian Barlow, will test Clark’s description through the examination of twenty or so portraits in the The Wilson’s Collection The paintings will range from the early 17th to the last 20th century. Those attending will be invited to participate fully in the discussion even though this will be a virtual not a face-to-face meeting.
NB to participate in this meeting it will be necessary to have access to Zoom. Those participating will be sent the link to the meeting the previous day. In the event of problems or for further information about the meeting please contact the speaker at email@example.com.
