Mells village in Somerset is famous for its lovely architecture, ancient streets and dramatic location. We have a special visit to Mells Manor by kind permission of The Earl and Countess of Oxford and Asquith.

The Manor was built in the 16th century for Edward Horner. At the end of the 19th century and early 20th century there was considerable adornment of the village under Sir John & Frances Horner, who commissioned works from the architect Edwin Lutyens; the stone mason Eric Gill; and artists and craftsmen such as Edward Burne-Jones, William Morris, William Nicholson and Alfred Munnings.

The house, along with the garden walls, has been designated a Grade I listed building, on the Register of Historic Parks and Gardens and of special historic interest in England.

COST PER PERSON: £43.00 Includes buffet lunch at the nearby Talbot Inn.

Pick- up points: Sixways: 8:00am, Royal Well Coach Station: 8:15am, Racecourse Park and Ride: 8:30am. Our coach will return at approximately 19:00pm.
Final details will be communicated via email.
