Friends will have a fascinating ‘Behind The Scenes’ tour of the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden in the late morning/early afternoon after our usual popular coffee stop en route to London. There is a variety of food outlets in Covent Garden for lunch. Later, Friends will ascend the Shard for the breathtaking view from the top of London’s tallest building as dusk approaches. Should you not wish to visit the Shard, the Covent Garden area is very lively with both Transport and Theatre Museums in the vicinity. The National Portrait Gallery is reasonably close by.
COST PER PERSON FOR ROYAL OPERA HOUSE ONLY (A): £30.00 p.p. to include coffee and tour.
COST PER PERSON FOR BOTH VENUES (B): £51.00 p.p. to include coffee, tour and Shard
Coach leaves THE WILSON, Clarence Street, at 8.20 a.m. and will return by about 8.30 p.m.
